Sobre Yugo S.
Yugo is organizing digital literacy training for visually impaired individuals.
In order to thrive in today’s digitally-saturated world, each young person needs to be familiar with technology like a computer or a mobile device, including young people with disabilities. As a blind teenager, Yugo wants to share digital skills that he has with his peers in order to enhance their independence, confidence, and capabilities needed to navigate the digital landscape and create more promising futures for themselves. He established Buta Digital Indonesia (Digital Blindness) to provide learning sessions for other visually impaired people who need to master digital technology. He tailors his classes to address the unique challenges faced by visually impaired individuals. Buta Digital currently teaches 20 visually impaired students, from youth to adults, equipping them with essential digital skills. These skills, such as typing, using Google Docs, navigating online services, and utilizing location sharing, significantly enhance their learning and professional opportunities, enabling them to pursue higher education and improve their lives.
