María holds a degree in International Relations (UCA) and completed a Master's degree in Public Policy and Development Management (UNSAM-Georgetown). She has been working in the social sector since she was 20, when she joined the Mujeres 2000 team, promoting the development of entrepreneurships led by low-income women. She joined the Ashoka team in 2014 as the head of the Ashoka Joven program.
