Matheus

Matheus is from Guanambi, Bahia and created Amar é Doar (“To Love is to Give”) after witnessing firsthand the critical shortage of blood in hospitals during his health management studies and hospital internship. Rooted in a lifelong commitment to social causes, Matheus launched the project to mobilize young blood donors, promote awareness, and organize caravans to donation centers. 

Through discussion circles, events in schools, and accessible transportation, the initiative has increased youth engagement and built a culture of regular donation. Backed by a growing network of students, teachers, and local institutions, Amar é Doar has saved lives and reshaped community attitudes toward donation. 

Looking ahead, Matheus aims to expand the initiative to new schools, create a municipal donation day, and launch a digital platform to mobilize donors more effectively. For him, love takes shape through action — and giving becomes a form of transformation.
