Lucas F.

Lucas is from Capão Redondo in São Paulo capital, he grew up navigating the contrast between his low-income neighborhood and the elite private school he attended on scholarship. 

Excelling in Model UN and debate competitions, he won prestigious national and international awards despite facing significant financial barriers. Motivated by the inequities he witnessed, Lucas founded MoruMUN, a social startup that supports underprivileged Brazilian youth to participate in global Model UN conferences by providing academic preparation, financial aid, and logistical support. 

Since 2022, MoruMUN has impacted over 800 students and formed award-winning delegations at top universities worldwide. Guided by a culture of shared leadership, Lucas and his diverse team aim to expand the initiative, turning MoruMUN into a transformative ecosystem where dreaming big becomes an accessible right for all young people.
